It was Bastille Day – the French national day of celebration on July 14th. As this day fell during our school holidays students at York District High School celebrated early. On the last Tuesday of Term 2 we had a French activity afternoon. All students from Pre-Primary to year Seven participated in four different activities, in multi-aged groups. There was petanque, a discotheque, loto and Le Café where students enjoyed a chocolat chaud and a baguette. It was a very enjoyable afternoon for all. A big merci beaucoup goes out to our parent helpers and to the local York IGA who generously donated all the ingredients for Le Café. Merci beaucoup!
